By booking care early, you get support from the very beginning. In those early weeks, you may not have shared your news with friends and family, so rather than Googling "early pregnancy symptoms", "what to do after a positive pregnancy test" or "what foods can I eat during pregnancy?"... I am on hand to offer support and advice. It is never too early to begin care, I even get contacted by women who are planning future pregnancies!
No need for you to rush out to appointments because I come to you in the comfort of your own home at a time that is convenient for you.
Appointments are 1-2 hours, or as long as you need (NHS appointments are restricted to 15/20 minutes) and I provide support remotely via calls, texts and email in between our scheduled face to face time.
I offer a full clinical antenatal check up at your face to face appointments which includes blood pressure monitoring; urine testing; assessment of maternal general health and fetal wellbeing, growth and position; offer of fetal doppler to listen to your baby’s heartbeat if you wish.
I typically see clients at the following times: early pregnancy enquiry, booking appointment at 6-8 weeks, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 31, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 weeks and beyond if needed.
If you have found me later in your pregnancy, this isn't an issue, all appointments are tailored to your individual needs and schedules can be altered for whatever you need. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
I share lots of resources to help answer your questions and help you feel well informed and prepared for the birth of your baby. Birth preparation is ongoing throughout your pregnancy journey and we cover everything from birth place options, different types of birth, pain relief and comfort measures for labour, hypnobirthing, biomechanics and birth partner support guidance. By 36 weeks of pregnancy we will have a clear plan(s) in place so that you feel well informed, satisfied and confident in the weeks leading up to the birth.
Every feeding journey looks different, so antenatal preparation is essential so that you can make informed choices about how you feed your baby and be armed with the tools to get feeding off to a smooth start.
The early days of parenthood can feel daunting, and while I am always on hand to provide support at the time... I always prepare my clients with what to expect in those first days so that you feel ready and less overwhelmed.
